Stage 5 civil construction works, now underway at Moorookyle, are expected to be completed by August. Work continues on several other important projects as well, including the selection of preferred contractor for stage 3 streetscape works. Early rains are hoped for to sustain young plants once this work gets under way. Bulk excavation for construction of “The Rushes” in the southwest corner is expected to be finalised in May and landscaping follows soon afterwards. Planning is underway for stages 7 and 8b of the development and a section of Sayers Road adjacent to Moorookyle is expected to be upgraded soon. Meanwhile the Moorookyle Club is now complete and operational. Available to residents only, it features a state-of-the-art gym, café, multi-purpose function rooms, kitchen facilities, a 25-metre pool, two tennis courts, and a barbeque and outdoor area.
